Research Interests: Biocompatibility, Hemocompatibility and Tissue Engineering

We are interested in the immune response and hemocompatibility of biomaterials. In particular, I am evaluating the biocompatibility of poly(diol citrates) and poly(glycerol sebacate) in vitro using vascular cells (endothelial, smooth muscle and fibroblasts) as well as their compatibility with blood. I am also interested in assessing the inflammatory response of these materials and how any chemical and mechanical variations of the materials affect the response.
